Our Mission
KeepLocal exists to make file utilities trustworthy. Most online converters quietly upload your documents to their servers, scan them, and serve ads based on the contents. We set out to fix that.
We provide free, browser-based tools that convert, compress, and resize PDFs and images entirely on your device. Nothing ever leaves your computer, phone, or tablet unless you explicitly choose to download the result.
How It Works
Every tool is built with modern web standards — the File System Access API, Canvas, and client-side JavaScript libraries. When you select a file, your browser reads it, processes it in memory, and presents a download. There is no server component and no database storing your data.
- No uploads: files are processed locally and never transmitted.
- No signup: use every tool anonymously, as many times as you like.
- No tracking: we do not collect personal data or serve behavioural ads.
- Open formats: we only use standard, auditable web technologies.
